MUMS TO BE & REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is an excellent therapy for both conception and pregnancy. Treatments can be used to enhance natural fertility in men and women or it can be used with all forms of assisted conception to help prepare the body and mind. It can help various medical conditions, reduce levels of stress and help to address any psychological or emotional issues that may be affecting your fertility.
Reflexology in pregnancy aims to optimise the physical and emotional health of the pregnant woman. During pregnancy regular treatments provide time for intense relaxation that's great for you and your baby and can help you to prepare your body for labour and birth.
FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY AT REST
Inital Appointment 1 hour £55
Follow up Appointment 40 minutes £40
Mini Facial Reflexology 30 minutes £30
The unique benefit of facial reflexology is that not only does it aim to help improve your health and wellbeing, your face will also look and feel smoother and more toned. It can give you a healthy glow!
Facial reflexology works on the same principles as foot reflexology, but by stimulating points on the
face rather than the feet. The treatment is non-invasive, light and gentle, and offers unique benefits. The proximity of the face to the brain is key to the effectiveness of this therapy as connections are instantly made to the body’s neuropathways offering deep relaxation to the client.
I use the Bergman Method facial reflexology, developed by Ziggie Bergman which will release muscle tension,
strengthen skin tissue and increase an oxygen rich blood supply to the face, moving a stagnant blood
supply and toxins away from the body, leaving the client feeling blissful and brighter. It helps to
improve skin tone. Using pressure point
massage and other massage techniques it can reduce stress, migraines, sinus problems, tight jaws,
teeth grinding, insomnia, and depression.
Please note that Facial Reflexology may not be suitable if you have had Botox within 12 weeks.

WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology is a non-invasive, gentle therapy, and is suitable for all ages to maintain general wellbeing and help restore the body to a balanced state of health. Reflexology supports both physical and emotional health. It is based on the principle that the feet are a reflection of the body. Reflexology is not a foot massage, but a systematic foot therapy whereby specific reflex points on the feet are stimulated with thumb walking, pressure holding and various other techniques. The body is always working to balance itself and reflexology works to create this balance (homeostasis). Imbalances within the body are thought to lead to ailments and physical problems. In reflexology we look to restore the body's natural rhythm and thereby restore its own ability to heal.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SESSION
During your first session, I will take a short 10 min medical history and chat about your health, diet and lifestyle and any health conditions conditions. This information allows me to make a bespoke treatment plan for you.
During the treatment you will take off your shoes and socks and made comfortable on the treatment couch. During the treatment I use a combination of gentle relaxation techniques, and application of precise pressure points on your feet.
During the treatment, most people feel very relaxed. There may be some tingling sensations in different parts of the body which is normal. The treatment should not feel ticklish or acutely painful although there may be some discomfort or tenderness in reflexes which show an imbalance.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTERWARDS
Typically, following a treatment, the receiver will feel more relaxed and less stressed. Some people will feel very energised and others will feel very sleepy and sometimes even drowsy. Where appropriate, I also offer after-care advice to ensure you achieve the utmost benefit from your sessions. After the treatment some people may experience feel more thirsty, tired or energetic, increased bowel movement or feeling like they are getting a cold. This is a normal reaction and symptoms will usually not last more than 24/48hours. To help ensure toxins are dispelled from the body and to reduce the likelihood of the healing reaction, you are advised to drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol following a reflexology
treatment.
